After the discussion in the sim group chat today, I felt the need to explain why I chose to do this blog, what I hope to accomplish with it, and why I chose to do so on an alt. I have to say that I do agree with KZ, this blog should not be discussed in the sim group chat. Today I chimed in to defend myself and the blog to some of you, and for that I apologize. My intention was for Whisper to be a silent observer when logged in, not an active role player. KZ if you do read this, I hope you accept my apology and understand what the intent of this blog is. I will no longer reply to any mentions of this blog in the sim group chat.

First of all the idea for the blog was not mine, but I felt it was an interesting idea to say the least. I am not the only person to post here. Although we are of a similar mind, I will only explain or defend what I post, and not try to speak for the other bloggers.

Personally, I will use this blog to post opinions of things many of us discuss in group chat, local chat, etc. I will also be more than happy to post things others of you write and submit. I want this blog to be a place for players in the sim to be able to express their opinions OOC, without it affecting their IC game play, and maybe even pull some of the drama out of the sim group chat. Also, many times people are not in the group chat when things get deep, and putting thougts on paper here, will allow those not there at the time, a place to read and contribute to the discussions as well. This blog is OOC, and not affiliated with the Chronicle or any other sim created group or blog.

This blog is not approved by the sim owners. We did not ask for their approval before doing this, nor do we expect them to make changes based on things posted here. This blog is ours. The Role Players. The ones of us that put so much time and effort into creating our characters. The ones of us who take the RP seriously. The ones of us that spend most of our limited RL free time in the sim. It is your choice to read the blog or not. I hope if you do read it, you see the points we are trying to make. If you are one of the offenders, I hope you take the opportunity to learn something. I like to think everyone is in the sim to have fun and enjoy role playing with others, but unfortunately there are some that are just there to cause drama, and interfere in what others are trying to do. They will be called out here. If you don't want your face, or description posted here, I suggest you read the sim rules and follow them. The sim owners put together a very detailed website explaining all aspects of the sim gameplay. Use it.

All that said, yes, Whisper is an alt created just for this blog. I like to think of her as my pen name, as other writers do. My main avatar has over 300 days of in sim gameplay. That is not just logging in and working, then logging back out. I spent at least 2 hours of those 300 plus days in the sim interacting with many of you. I chose to blog as Whisper, because many of you do know me, and interact with me a lot. Whether I am well liked or not, I wanted my posts here to be read for what they are, and not judged based on your opinions of me as my main avatar. I am not hiding. I am not ashamed to defend my thoughts. I want what I write to be judged on its content, not your perceptions of who you think I am.
